Switch who you live for, yourselves or for the Lord.

God has been speaking to me loud and clear lately. We get so caught up in the day to day living that we forget why we breathe.

I just finished watching a series on Netflix about the disciples in Acts. It’s stirred and convicted me. The disciples got it. They knew what and who they were living for.

On my morning walk, I was still thinking about the series I just finished watching. I was talking to God about how, as His followers, we fall short. I was repenting of not being the person He created me to be and doing all that I can do for Him. God was speaking to me once again about why we breathe. Why we live. On my way home from work the next day I got into a car accident. I’m fine, my car is not. I do have some cuts and bruises but I am thankful that I am alive and well. The Lord has a way of using every circumstance to get our attention. I was stirred to act. God calls us to be His hands and feet every day not just when we feel like it or if we ever feel like it. God will use us. Ask Him for the boldness. We are to be His mouthpiece, His hands, and His feet. We need to seek to have His heart for people. May our hearts break for what breaks His!

You only have to look around to see the state of being that our world is in to know that as Christians we need to rise up and be Jesus to those around us. Everyday!

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, Because the LORD has anointed me To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives And freedom to prisoners; To proclaim the favorable year of the LORD And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To grant those who mourn in Zion, Giving them a garland instead of ashes, The oil of gladness instead of mourning, The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61:1-3‬ ‭NASB‬‬.
